Insight's Charity Golf Day 2010
On 9 September Insight hosted it’s fourth charity golf event which took place at Sprowston Manor Golf and Country Club in aid of three great charities: The Bryan Gunn Appeal, Big C and The Foundation for Study of Infant Deaths. As always we had beautiful blue skies and we were delighted this year to welcome back our regular golfers, which included former canary football legends Bryan Gunn and Mike Milligan.
This year we also welcomed a special guest – Dean Ashton, a former canary player and England star prior to being signed up by West Ham before he sustained an injury. We had 18 teams in total competing for the Insight cup and each team played and focussed on what really mattered to raise as much money as possible for charity. We had a number of local businesses support our event by entering a team, which included: Aquaterra Energy, Millsopps, Hollinger Print, Natwest and NM Finance.
The evening event included a prize giving ceremony (see pictures below), together with a three course dinner and raffle and auction which enabled us to raise over £8,500 on the day for Big C, Bryan Gunn Appeal and FSID. Insight would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported our event and who gave so generously towards the raffle and auction – we could not have done it without the generosity of all those who attended our event.
