Trio of charities boosted by golf day

A charity golf day has raised more than £15,000. Norfolk based financial services company Insight has hosted its fourth Charity golf day at The Marriott Sprowston Manor Hotel and Country Club. A total of £15,470 was raised on the day, with the net profit amounting to more than £8,700 to benefit three charities, The Big C, the Bryan Gunn Appeal and The Foundation for Study of Infant Deaths (FSID).

In addition to the auction, there was also a raffle, which raised £995 in support of Insight’s directors, Jason Howard and Craig McClurg, who participated in the Great North Run on September 20th in aid of the FSID, which is Insight’s charity of choice for 2009. Mr Howard said: “We had another great event and this is only made possible with the support of all the local companies who attended this event. I would also like to thank the companies and individuals who gave so generously by donating items for our auction.” The event concluded with an award ceremony followed by an auction, compered by Bryan Gunn.
